I do believe the problem the following is twofold.
The foremost is that Asian People in america (especially Chinese People in the us, which this remark will concentrate on) which have effectively assimilated into US tradition are nevertheless an “up and coming” type. They were instead in orchestra, math club, etc when I was in high school, there were NO other Asians on the swim team, rowing team, etc. My swinging heaven login impression is that isn’t something intrinsic, but alternatively happens to be driven by our parents, Chinese schools, churches, etc. This is what appears to be respected between the older generation, not really much achievement that is athletic. Therefore, these types of “enclaves” of Asians within US tradition get created, where just some traditional American values bleed through (for instance, assertiveness and violence aren’t, from my viewpoint, two values that really shone through in orchestra, but instead just regarding the swim and rowing team). Since our demographic is mostly an item of governmental choices (the influx of PhD-level immigrants made from the nascent times of the H1B system within the 90’s), ours normally a fairly homogenous bunch, with that said.
